BRIEF HISTORY: Dave is an experienced technologist with 22 years in software and systems engineering with an emphasis on software, communications, machine vision and high performance computing systems. He has more than 10 years experience as the CEO and founder of Stone Three, a high tech company specialising in advanced software and systems development. He has a published academic track record and career spanning 8 years, finishing up as professor and head of the signal processing and telecommunications group at the University of Stellenbosch. He has strong analytical and communication skills that are applicable to both the engineering and business aspects of product development. He is a strategic out of the box thinker with depth and breadth skills in his field. He is a keen mountain biker and cook and holds a private pilot´s license.
